Daniel Griffin, MD, PhD, is an expert in infectious diseases with a focus on HIV and Tropical Medicine. He attended medical school at New York University School of Medicine followed by a three year categorical Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Utah and a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at North Shore-LIJ. Dr. Griffin is active in research, teaching, and patient care. His research career started at Memorial Sloan Kettering more than two decades ago and has focused on Cancer, Infectious Disease and Immunology. He is currently engaged in research at Columbia University Medical Center. Dr. Griffin teaches medical students, interns, residents, and infectious disease fellows at Columbia University, and is active in the clinical care of patients living in the New York area as well as immigrants and travelers with multiple different infectious diseases. He is co-host on the popular podcast, This Week in Parasitism.
